Collection of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Flux data from five lakes (stations), i.e. Almbergasjön (Abisko), Erken (Erken), Erssjön (Skogaryd), Feresjön (Asa) and Stortjärn (Svartberget), linked to the Thematic Program SITES Water, which has been running since 2016.
The GHG Flux Program is run during the open water season with a bi-weekly sampling cycle of 1-2 days for methane (CH4) flux. Floating chambers are placed on the water surface in three different transects starting from the shore and extending towards the lake center, thus, covering different depth gradients per transect: 0-2 m, 2-4 m, and in some of the lakes > 4 m, in total 12 chambers per lake and deployment period.
