The aim of the SITES Data Management is to align data products across stations and Thematic Programs (SITES Water, Spectral & AquaNet) to allow comparability of long-term monitoring data, beyond ecosystem boundaries and to provide tools to analyze and link complex aquatic and terrestrial data of various types across Sweden. A central data repository (i.e. SITES Data Portal) with standardized metadata and controlled vocabularies is key to allow data comparability and guarantees interoperability with other data service providers for all stations and data products within the infrastructure. The Data Management Plan describes the workflows, principals of data handling and responsibilities and provides guidance for the general infrastructure data work.
