General description: The run-off scenario mesocosm experiment was set-up 5 times in a total in three lakes: in Bolmen and Erken in summer 2022 and in Bolmen, Erken and Erssjön in spring 2023. The experiments used the SITES AquaNet mesocosm infrastructure connected to three of the constituent research stations (Bolmen, Erken, Skogaryd; all located in Sweden). All experiments lasted for a total of 37 days. Protocol 5: From all mesocosm experiments, samples for water chemistry and chlorophyll a concentrations were analyzed at 6 occasions from subsamples taken from an integrated water sample taken from each mesocosm at day 1, and then days 5, 9, 13, 21 and 37. Lake water samples were taken outside the platform at a depth of 0.5 m.
