The 68 km2 Krycklan catchment encompasses the natural mosaic of boreal landscapes consisting of forests, mires, streams and lakes that make up 70% of the area in Sweden, and which is representative of 30% of the world’s forest cover. Krycklan is an integral part of the Svartberget field research infrastructure, which belongs to the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The Svartberget field station is also responsible for Degerö stormyr, Rosinedal, Flakaliden and Norrliden.
