The Limnic Profile at Lake Almberga is a position where an automatic data acquisition station is collecting data from sensors in the water column and the atmosphere above. This is also the position where water samples are collected for chemical analysis. Lake Almberga is situated in a sub-alpine birch forest. The catchment area is also dominated by high alpine and heath ecosystems. In general, the lake has a stable stratification during winter and non-stable stratification during summer i.e. the lake mixes several times every summer.
