A comprehensive sediment survey of the lake Erken (Erken Laboratory) was carried out Sep 1st and 16th, 2021. The purpose of the sediment sampling was to assess sediment thickness and sediment properties (water content, organic carbon (OC) and nitrogen (N) content and grain size distribution. Gravity cores were collected to assess spatial variability of sediment properties at locations where lake greenhouse gas emission is monitored with floating chambers.
