General description: The run-off scenario mesocosm experiment was set-up 5 times in a total in three lakes: in Bolmen and Erken in summer 2022 and in Bolmen, Erken and Erssjön in spring 2023. The experiments used the SITES AquaNet mesocosm infrastructure connected to three of the constituent research stations (Bolmen, Erken, Skogaryd; all located in Sweden). All experiments lasted for a total of 37 days. Protocol 3: Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) were added as K2HPO4 and NaNO3, respectively, in addition to dissolved N and P from the peat extract. This amounted to a total addition of approx. 50µg L-1 P and 500µg L-1 N to the mesocosms.
